Oak keeps APCs low to make publishing accessible — a fraction of the industry average, charged once and only after acceptance. There are no submission fees.
How does peer review work?
Every submission is evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers under editorial oversight. Low cost never means lower standards.
Who holds the copyright to my article?
You do. Authors retain copyright and grant a CC BY 4.0 licence so others can reuse the work with attribution.
Can I submit the same paper to several journals?
Please submit to one journal at a time. If it's a better fit elsewhere, our editors can suggest a transfer.
Are articles indexed and permanently linked?
Every article receives a stable landing page and PDF and is indexed in Google Scholar, with more databases being added.
