The most important physico-chemical characteristics describing detergent micelles are the CMC value and the aggregation number. These parameters depend critically on external conditions such as pH, ionic strength, buffer composition or temperature. However, t…

In this paper, artificial neural networks are used for predicting single fiber efficiency in the process of removing smaller particles from gas stream by fiber filters. For this, numerical simulations are obtained of a classic model of literature for fiber ef…

Amphipathic-type thioesters CH 3 (CH 2 ) m COS(CH 2 ) n COONa (m + n = 12) were synthesized and their reaction with various alkylamines was examined. Compounds having thioester moiety close to carboxylate (m = 10, n = 2) afforded the corresponding amides in g…

In this study, the optimum operating conditions for sesame oil extraction were studied. N-hexane was used as a solvent. Different variables were investigated; sesame seeds particle sizes, ratio of solvent to seeds mass, contact time, stirring effect, roasting…

Advances in Chemical Engineering and Science (ACES) is an international journal serving as a forum for the presentation of research and review papers dealing with all aspects of advances in chemical engineering and science. All manuscripts must be prepared in English and are subject to a rigorous and fair peer-review… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
