Atmospheric and Climate Sciences (ACS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly. The journal is dedicated to publishing original research articles across all the fields of applied atmospheric and/or climate science. The journal welcomes contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas:
Athari Almutawa, Samson Roeland
This study employs multi-magnetic parametric methods as proxies to measure particulate matter (PM) concentration and spread in Kuwait. It examines the reliability of biomonitoring receptors in the assessment of atmospheric air quality through the utilization…
Maghrabi Abdullrahman
This study aims to determine the influential role of the meteorological, solar, and geophysical factors and cosmic rays on the transmission of COVID-19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The meteorological factors were air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, an…
Carmen De Marco, Antonella Boselli, Andrea D’Anna, Alessia Sannino, Gaetano Sasso, Mariano Sirignano, Nicola Spinelli, Xuan Wang
To obtain a real-time image of atmospheric particulate matter (PM) in highly polluted areas and to understand how the anthropogenic component linked to urban activities (industrial activities, domestic heating, road traffic, waste disposal) can locally affect…
Solomon Gunta, Hejamady Gangadhara Bhat, Busnur Rachotappa Manjunatha
In this study, we unveil atmospheric circulation anomalies associated with t he large-scale tropical teleconnections using National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) reanalysis dataset. Composite analyses have been performed to know the impact of lar…
Nikunj Jaitawat, Vimal Saraswat
This study has explored the seasonal day time variations of the two most important trace gases involved in global warming i.e. , Methane (CH 4 ) and Ozone (O 3 ). Since solar activities also play a vital role in the formation of ozone, and hence solar flux da…
Naser W. Alnaser, Roger Flanagan, Lawrence Kazmerski, Ali A. Sayigh, Munir H. Nayfeh, Waheeb E. Alnaser
It is becoming clear that Climate Change is getting sever e . It was reported that the improved ocean heat measurements have a rate of warming upwards from 4 to 5 Hiroshima bomb s liberated heat per second or 388,800 per day. It was reported also that our cli…
Ifeanyi Innocent Onwosi, Emmanuel Fartiyahcha Nymphas
Studies in various regions of the world have revealed that air pollution can have a significant influence on local climate. This study therefore considers the impact of concentration levels of atmospheric pollutants on local climate of Delta state, Nigeria. M…
Ifeanyi Innocent Onwosi, Emmanuel Iruka Njoku, Emmanuel Fartiyahcha Nymphas
A critical environmental problem facing the Niger Delta region is Air Pollution. This study therefore analy se s concentration levels of atmospheric pollutants in the region. Statistical analysis of CH 4 and O 3 concentrations for the period of 2003 to 2012 a…
Nayara Arroxelas dos Santos Siqueira, Anderlan Henrique Batista Siqueira, Augusto José Pereira Filho
This study comprises a climatology of the spatial variability of precipitation over the S ã o Francisco River Basin (SFRB), characterized by its geographic heterogeneity. The different rainfall regimes in the region were analyzed th rough statistical and…
Asaminew Teshome, Jie Zhang, Teferi Demissie, Qianrong Ma, 1 1
Climate change has increased extreme events over globe and the most robust occurrences of concurrent drought and floods have become more common in Africa. This study focuses on the observed and projected analysis of rain fall extremes of consecutive dry day (…

The journal is dedicated to publishing original research articles across all the fields of applied atmospheric and/or climate science. The journal welcomes contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas: All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.

On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
