Atmospheric and Climate Sciences (ACS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly. The journal is dedicated to publishing original research articles across all the fields of applied atmospheric and/or climate science. The journal welcomes contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas:
Kombo Hamad Kai, Mohammed Khamis Ngwali, Masoud Makame Faki
The study investigated the impacts of tropical cyclone (TC) Fantala (11 th to 27 th April, 2016) to the coastal areas of Tanzania, Zanzibar in particular. Daily reanalysis data consisting of wind speed, sea level pressure (SLP), sea surface temperatures (SSTs…
Abdelouaheb Agrebi, Andry Harifidy Ramanantsoa, Gerard Rambolamanana, Eddy Harilala Rasolomanana
The I48TN is one of the 60 International Monitoring System (IMS) stations of the Comprehensive nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), characterized by its location in the heart of the IMS Infrasound network. The ability of the International Monitoring…

Ozone plays a significant part in regulating climate change and the chemical characteristics of the atmosphere. Changes in atmospheric ozone can be studied in more detail using ground-based and satellite-based instruments. Studies on the long-term global chan…
Ayisha A. Arishi
The aim of the study is to classify the Sandstorms according to year seasons as well as their spatial variation in Saudi Arabia. Factor analysis has been used for data collection. Three factors have been presented: the first factor related to Spring as a prim…
Pétronille Kafando, Bruno Korgo, Madé Fodé
This paper highlights the global warming of the lower atmosphere of West African tropical area using in-situ data. The study is based on the analysis of 500-m interval vertical profiles of radiosonde temperature above Niamey (13.47 ° N; 2.16 ° E) a su…
Ignasi Porras, Josep Maria Solé, Raül Marcos, Raúl Arasa
Grape production is likewise inherently interconnected to climate and weather, and, although grapes may grow worldwide, premium wine-grape production occurs in Mediterranean-like climate ranges. Changes in climate and weather patterns are threatening premium…
Claudia Priscila Wanzeler da Costa, Douglas da Silva Ferreira, Nikolas Jorge Carneiro
The mineral industry is of great importance for the economy and for the development of Brazil. However, climate change further accentuates the impacts caused by extreme weather and climate events on the logistics and operation processes of the mineral product…
Maurice Ndeye, Matar Sène, Doudou Diop
Mass balance equations can be used to quantify the level of fossil carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) ff at a given site by using samples of tree leaves or tree rings. These sites are often densely populated and highly industrialized areas. In this case, in addition to t…
Alexander Kislov, Tatyana Matveeva
Extreme values of wind speed were studied based on the highly detailed ERA5 dataset covering the central part of the Kara Sea. Cases in which the ice coverage of the cells exceeded 15% were filtered. Our study shows that the wind speed extrema obtained from s…

Using model like hot air bloom with zero-weighted membrane wrapped hot air, surrounded by cold air, this paper sets up a partial differential equation (PDE) of motion of mushroom cloud by modifying Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations. The obtained equation is a vec…

Atmospheric and Climate Sciences (ACS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly. The journal is dedicated to publishing original research articles across all the fields of applied atmospheric and/or climate science. The journal welcomes contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas: All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
