American Journal of Computational Mathematics (AJCM) is a journal dedicated to providing a platform for publication of articles about mathematical research in areas of science where computing plays a central and essential role emphasizing algorithms, numerical methods, and symbolic methods. All manuscripts must be pre…

In this paper, we obtain a formula for the derivative of a determinant with respect to an eigenvalue in the modified Cholesky decomposition of a symmetric matrix, a characteristic example of a direct solution method in computational linear algebra. We apply o…

An L -stable block method based on hybrid second derivative algorithm (BHSDA) is provided by a continuous second derivative method that is defined for all values of the independent variable and applied to parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs). The u…

In this work, by extending the method of Hockney into three dimensions , the Poisson’s equation in cylindrical coordinates system with the Dirichlet’s boundary conditions in a portion of a cylinder for is solved directly. The Poisson equation is approximated…

Dimension reduction is defined as the processes of projecting high-dimensional data to a much lower-dimensional space. Dimension reduction methods variously applied in regression, classification, feature analysis and visualization. In this paper, we review in…

We present the optimal homotopy asymptotic method (OHAM) to find the numerical solution of the second order initial value problems of Bratu-type. We solve some examples to illustrate the validity and efficiency of the method.

The seismic tomography problem often leads to underdetermined and inconsistent system of equations. Solving these problems, care must be taken to keep the propagation of data errors under control. Especially, the non- Gaussian nature of the noise distribution…

Under consideration is a nonclassical stationary problem on heat conduction in a body with the pre-set surface temperature and heat flow. The body contains inclusions at unknown locations and with unknown boundaries. The body and inclusions have different con…

In this paper , we focus on a type of inverse problem in which the data are expressed as an unknown function of the sought and unknown model function (or its discretised representation as a model parameter vector). In particular, we deal with situations in wh…

It poses the inverse problem that consists in finding the logarithm of a function. It shows that when the function is holomorphic in a simply connected domain , the solution at the inverse problem exists and is unique if a branch of the logarithm is fixed. In…

Flow-generated sound and velocity distributions of free flows are characterized by frequency spectra (FFT and several spectra from the octave spectrum over the one-third octave spectrum till the narrow band spectrum), by the PSD (power spectrum density) and w…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
