With the increasing consumption level of Chinese residents, the increasing consumption scale has brought huge environmental pressure. China’s economic and social development is facing the increasingly severe reality of increasing resource and environmental pressure. Coupled with the increasing awareness of environmental protection, domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of research about green consumption related issues. While changing the consumption pattern of Chinese residents and promoting their green consumption behavior is one of the fundamental ways to relieve the pressure of China’s environment. Besides, most of the existing researches also focus on the concept and the influencing factors of green consumption behavior. In this paper, starting from the review of the concept of green consumption, green consumption behavior and the factors affecting the consumers’ green consumption behavior under different aspects and perspectives, we analyze the formation mechanism of green consumption behavior. Based on this, we finally advance the research in the past some limitations and future research directions.
