The collection of solid waste from third class communities in most devel-oping countries is by skip containers, however, the location of these facilities has been done arbitrary without any mathematical considerations as to the number of customers the facilit…

This research work seeks to model the distribution of 50 cl Pepsi soft drink as a transhipment problem. The transshipment problem is an extension of the traditional transportation problem which takes into account a multi-phase transport system in which the fl…

In this article, we are interested in solving a combinatorial optimization problem, the shortest path problem in a multi-attribute graph, by the out-ranking methods. A multi-attribute graph has simultaneously qualitative and quantitative criteria. This situat…

Multi-Objective Optimization (MOO) techniques often achieve the combination of both maximization and minimization objectives. The study suggests scalarizing the multi-objective functions simpler using duality. An example of four objective functions has been s…

We study the random injury outcome caused by multiple flash bang submunitions on a crowd. We are particularly interested in the fluctuations in injury outcome among individual realizations. Previously, to simulate the distribution of the actual number of inju…

In this work, a new method is presented for determining the binding constraints of a general linear maximization problem. The new method uses only objective function values at points which are determined by simple vector operations, so the computational cost…
Najam Khan, Ekaterina Koromyslova
The goal of the research is to develop a methodology to minimize the public’s exposure to harmful emissions from coal power plants while maintaining minimal operational costs related to electric distribution losses and coal logistics. The objective is achieve…

The paper gives an optimization model for a special type of exercise session, circuit training. Circuit training involves a series of exercises performed in rotation with minimal rest. The goal of our model is to minimize the total circuit time while accompli…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
