American Journal of Operations Research (AJOR) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of high quality, original papers that contribute to the methodology of operational research and to the practice of decision making. AJOR contains the following types of papers: (1)In…

The proposed model considers the products with finite shelf-life which causes a small amount of decay. The market demand is assumed to be level dependent and in a linear form. The model has also considered the constant production rate which stops attaining a…

We investigate the weight-based food self-sufficiency ratio (WSSR) for Japan over a 50-year period (1961-2011) by applying factorial component analysis technique in order to measure the changes of the WSSR quantitatively. Quantitative data analysis is employe…
Bharti Sharma, Promila Kumar
In this paper, necessary optimality conditions for a class of Semi-infinite Variational Problems are established which are further generalized to a class of Multi-objective Semi-Infinite Variational Problems. These conditions are responsible for the developme…
Ventepaka Yadaiah, V. V. Haragopal
In this paper, we propose an algorithm for solving multi-objective assignment problem (MOAP) through Hungarian Algorithm, and this approach emphasizes on optimal solution of each objective function by minimizing the resource. To illustrate the algorithm a num…
Nejmaddin A. Sulaiman, Rebaz B. Mustafa
In this paper, we have suggested a new technique to transform multi-objective linear programming problem (MOLPP) to the single objective linear programming problem by using Harmonic mean for values of function and an algorithm is suggested for its solution, t…
Zhenping Li, Zhiguo Wu
Taking the distribution route optimization of refined oil as background, this paper studies the inventory routing problem of refined oil distribution based on working time equilibrium. In consideration of the constraints of vehicle capacity, time window for u…
Mohamed Abd El-Hady Kassem, Ahmad M. K. Tarabia, Noha Mohamed El-Badry
This paper presents a modified method to solve multi-objective nonlinear programming problems with fuzzy parameters in its objective functions and these fuzzy parameters are characterized by fuzzy numbers. The modified method is based on normalized trade-off…
Elias Munapo
The paper presents a technique for solving the binary linear programming model in polynomial time. The general binary linear programming problem is transformed into a convex quadratic programming problem. The convex quadratic programming problem is then solve…
Bingyu Lan, Jin Peng, Lin Chen
We employ uncertain programming to investigate the competitive logistics distribution center location problem in uncertain environment, in which the demands of customers and the setup costs of new distribution centers are uncertain variables. This research wa…
Alireza Noroziroshan, H. W. Corley, Jay M. Rosenberger
An efficient active-set approach is presented for both nonnegative and general linear programming by adding varying numbers of constraints at each iteration. Computational experiments demonstrate that the proposed approach is significantly faster than previou…

AJOR contains the following types of papers: (1)In… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
