American Journal of Operations Research (AJOR) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of high quality, original papers that contribute to the methodology of operational research and to the practice of decision making. AJOR contains the following types of papers: (1)In…
Ritika Chopra, Ratnesh R. Saxena
In real world decision making problems, the decision maker has to often optimize more than one objective, which might be conflicting in nature. Also, it is not always possible to find the exact values of the input data and related parameters due to incomplete…
Goh Saito, H. W. Corley, Jay M. Rosenberger
We describe a new active-set, cutting-plane Constraint Optimal Selection Technique (COST) for solving general linear programming problems. We describe strategies to bound the initial problem and simultaneously add multiple constraints. We give an interpretati…
Teresa García Valderrama, Vanesa Rodríguez Cornejo, Daniel Revuelta Bordoy
The principal objective of the research reported in this article is to validate a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model and a Strategic Map for the University by studying the relationships of efficiency between its dimensions. Subsequently, the validation is complet…
Irfan Ali, S. Suhaib Hasan
In this paper, the problem of optimum allocation of repairable and replaceable components in a system is formulated as a Bi-objective stochastic non linear programming problem. The system maintenance time and cost are random variable and has gamma and normal…
Gustavo Dias da Silva, Virgílio José Martins Ferreira Filho, Laura Bahiense
This paper considers the pipeline network design problem (PND) in ethanol transportation, with a view to providing robust and efficient computational tools to assist decision makers in evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of ethanol pipeline netw…
I. Husain, Vikas K. Jain
Fritz John and Karush-Kuhn-Tucker type optimality conditions for a nondifferentiable multiobjective variational problem are derived. As an application of Karush-Kuhn-Tucker type optimality conditions, Mond-weir type second-order nondifferentiable multiobjecti…

In this paper, we consider the problem to determine the optimal time to sell an asset that its price conforms to the Black-Schole model but its drift is a discrete random variable taking one of two given values and this probability distribution behavior chang…
Justin Dupar Busili Kampempe, Monga Kalonda Luhandjula
Multiple objective stochastic linear programming is a relevant topic. As a matter of fact, many practical problems ranging from portfolio selection to water resource management may be cast into this framework. Severe limitations on objectivity are encountered…

In this paper, we consider a tandem of two head-of-line (HOL) non-preemptive priority queuing systems, each with a single server and a deterministic service-time. Two classes of traffic are considered, namely high priority and low priority traffic. By means o…

In our study, the Dominance-based Rough Set Approach (DRSA) has been proposed to assist the Board of Directors of the Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDC), the sub-region of Abitibi-West (Quebec). The CFDC needs a tool for decision support to sel…

AJOR contains the following types of papers: (1)In… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
