High concentrations of heavy metals (Pb, Zn, As, Cd) were found in the ve getative and generative organs of Paulownia tomentosa (Thunb.) Steud. , 1841) in industrial production zones and along transport routes in Samarkand, Samarkand region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The obtained results confirm the potential of using this plant for phytoremediation purposes.
