This paper provides an intuitive introduction to cluster analysis. Our targeting audience are both scholars and students in Political Science. Methodologically, we use basic simulation to illustrate the underlying logic of cluster analysis and we replicate da…

Though well-known for its simplicity and efficiency, Newton’s method applied to a complex polynomial can fail quite miserably, even on a relatively large open set of initial guesses. In this work, we present some analytic and numerical results for Newton’s me…

Kinematics of moving generalized curves in a n -dimensional Euclidean space is formulated in terms of intrinsic geometries. The evolution equations of the orthonormal frame and higher curvatures are obtained. The integrability conditions for the evolutions ar…

We discuss a new possible construction of the regular heptagon by rhombic bicompasses explained in the text as a new geometric mean of constructions in the spirit of classical constructions in connection with an unmarked ruler (straightedge). It avoids the di…

In this paper, we propose and analyze some schemes of the integral collocation formulation based on Legendre polynomials. We implement these formulae to solve numerically Riccati, Logistic and delay differential equations with variable coefficients. The prope…

In this paper, we apply the Weyl's limit relation to calculate the limit , where γ q ( n ) is the van der Corput sequence in base q, g ( x , y , z), is the asymptotic distribution function of ( γ q ( n ), γ q ( n + 1 ), γ q ( n + 2 )), and F ( x , y , z) = ma…

The influence of random factors should often be taken into account in solving problems of mathematical physics. The heat equation with random factors is a classical problem of the parabolic type of mathematical physics. In this paper, the heat equation with r…

In this study, we focus on the class of BL-GARCH models, which is initially introduced by Storti & Vitale [1] in order to handle leverage effects and volatility clustering. First we illustrate some properties of BL-GARCH (1, 2) model, like the positivity, sta…

The location of the distribution facilities and the routing of the vehicles from these facilities are interdependent in many distribution systems. Such a concept recognizes the interdependence; attempts to integrate these two decisions have been limited. Mult…

In this paper, we present a method for solving coupled problem. This method is mainly based on the successive approximations method. The external force acting on the structure is replaced by λ = p (x 1 , H + u (x 1 , λ )) . Then we have a nonlinear equation o…
