In the latter part of the 20th century, continued improvements in living standards, health behaviors, and medical care reduced mortality and produced amazing advances in life expectancy. These trends, followed by all industrial nations, decidedly affect the f…

This paper presents a hierarchical Bayesian approach to the estimation of components’ reliability (survival) using a Weibull model for each of them. The proposed method can be used to estimation with general survival censored data, because the estimation of a…

The nullity of a graph is the multiplicity of the eigenvalue zero in its spectrum. In this paper we show the expression of the nullity and nullity set of unicyclic graphs with n vertices and girth r , and characterize the unicyclic graphs with extremal nullit…
Anuradha Yarlagadda, J. V. R. Murthy, M. H. M. Krishna Prasad
The work on the paper is focused on the use of Fractal Dimension in clustering for evolving data streams. Recently Anuradha et al. proposed a new approach based on Relative Change in Fractal Dimension (RCFD) and damped window model for clustering evolving dat…

In this paper, an improved algorithm for the solution of Generalized Burger-Fisher’s Equation is presented. A Maple code is generated for the algorithm and simulated. It was observed that the algorithm gives the solution with less computation. The solution gi…

Considering a sequence of standardized stationary Gaussian random variables, a universal result in the almost sure central limit theorem for maxima and partial sum is established. Our result generalizes and improves that on the almost sure central limit theor…

The sign rank test is taught in virtually all introductory Statistics classes. When teaching the sign rank test the students are told to ignore the ties. Ignoring ties that support the null hypothesis is not logical. Why should valid data that support the nul…

The relation between noncommutative (or quantum) geometry and themathematics of spacesis in many ways similar to the relation between quantum physicsand classical physics. One moves from the commutative algebra of functions on a space (or a commutative algebr…

This paper deals with the production-dependent failure rates for a hybrid manufacturing/remanufacturing system subject to random failures and repairs. The failure rate of the manufacturing machine depends on its production rate, while the failure rate of the…

Several approximate methods have been used to find approximate solutions of elliptic systems of first order equations. One common method is the Newton imbedding approach, i.e. the parameter extension method. In this article, we discuss approximate solutions t…
