Applied Mathematics (AM) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in applied mathematics. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema…

In this chapter we have developed a deterministic model of growth of abnormal cell concentration in a human subject at different positions. The diffusion-reaction Equation has been applied to satisfy growth dynamics .The whole tumor region is divided into lay…

The eccentric connectivity index based on degree and eccentricity of the vertices of a graph is a widely used graph invariant in mathematics. In this paper we present the explicit generalized expressions for the eccentric connectivity index and polynomial of…

Lane-Emden differential equations of order fractional has been studied.Numerical solution of this type is considered by collocation method. Some of examples are illustrated. The comparison between numerical and analytic methods has been introduced.

Modulational instability conditions for the generation of localized structures in the context of matter waves in Bose-Einstein condensates are investigated analytically and numerically. The model is based on a modified Gross-Pitaevskii equation, which account…

In this paper, a mathematical model is proposed to study the effect of pollutant and virus induced disease on single species animal population and its essential mathematical features are analyzed. It is observed that the susceptible population does not vanish…
Xinhui Wang, Haihong Liu
A delayed Lotka-Volterra two-species predator-prey system of population allelopathy with discrete delay is considered. By linearizing the system at the positive equilibrium and analyzing the associated characteristic equation, the asymptotic stability of the…
John O’Quigley
A family of tests for the presence of regression effect under proportional and non-proportional hazards models is described. The non-proportional hazards model, although not completely general, is very broad and includes a large number of possibilities. In th…

In this paper we extend the one-on-one stochastic duel model with searching to the many-on-one case based on information-sharing. We have derived the probability density function of the time to kill the target in many-on-one model. It is illustrated by an exa…
Yingshan Zhang, Weilan Shao
By using mathematical reasoning, this paper demonstrates the mathematical intervening principle: “Virtual disease is to fill his mother but real disease is to rush down his son” (虚则补其母, 实则泄其子) and “Strong inhibition of the same time, support the weak” (抑强扶弱)…

This paper discusses the estimation of parameters in the zero-inflated Poisson (ZIP) model by the method of moments. The method of moments estimators (MMEs) are analytically compared with the maximum likelihood estimators (MLEs). The results of a modest simul…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
