Statisticians are usually concerned with the proposition of new distributions. In this paper we point out that a unified and concise derivation procedure of the distribution of the minimum or maximum of a random number N of indepen-dent and identically distri…

A graph is a good way to illustrate some relations between things. But, not all relations can be illustrated by this graph. So, in this paper we will define a new type of graph, we call it a general-graph.

The current paper is mainly devoted to construct a generalized symbolic Thomas algorithm that will never fail. Two new efficient and reliable computational algorithms are given. The algorithms are suited for implementation using computer algebra systems (CAS)…

We present a flexible version of GPBi-CG algorithm which allows for the use of a different preconditioner at each step of the algorithm. In particular, a result of the flexibility of the variable preconditioner is to use any iterative method. For example, the…

Blow-up phenomena for solutions of some nonlinear parabolic systems with time dependent coefficients are investigated. Both lower and upper bounds for the blow-up time are derived when blow-up occurs.
Garidi Wu, Dongyue Guan
In this paper we studied some problems on best approximation in Orlicz spaces, for which the approximating sets are Haar subspaces, the result of this paper can be considered as the extension of the classical corresponding result.

This paper is devoted to the analysis of the two-layer shallow-water equations representing gravity currents. A similarity technique which is the characteristic function method is applied for this study. The application of the characteristic function method m…

In the paper, a auxiliary equation expansion method and its algorithm is proposed by studying a second order nonlinear ordinary differential equation with a four-degree term. The method is applied to the generalized Ben-ney-Luke (GBL) equation with any order.…

The first case of a new food allergy, an anaphylactic reaction to Manioc (Manihot esculenta or Manihot utilissima), also called cassava and tapioca, was described in 2001. Cassava is a tuber widely consumed in Brazil, which has been consumed by native Indians…

It is a matter of course that Kolmogorov’s probability theory is a very useful mathematical tool for the analysis of statistics. However, this fact never means that statistics is based on Kolmogorov’s probability theory, since it is not guaranteed that mathem…
