We provide a new simple approach to stochastic dynamic optimization. In doing so, we derive the existing (standard) results using a far simpler technique than the duality and the variational methods.
Tamilla I. Nasirova, Ulviyya Y. Kerimova
One of the important problems of stochastic process theory is to define the Laplace transforms for the distribution of semi-markov random processes. With this purpose, we will investigate the semimarkov random processes with positive tendency and negative jum…

The neuron growth will bring series variation to the neuron characteristics of geometric configuration. Especially the growth of dendrite and axon can obviously change the space characteristic and geometric characteristic of neuron. This article is to build t…

In this paper we show that a log-convex function satisfies Hadamard's inequality, as well as we give an extension for this result in several directions.

This paper presents an optimization technique coupling two optimization techniques for solving Economic Emission Load Dispatch Optimization Problem EELD. The proposed approach integrates the merits of both genetic algorithm (GA) and local search (LS), where i…
Kanti Pandey, Lajja Verma
In this work we generate the numerical solutions of the Burgers’ equation by applying the Crank-Nicolson method directly to the Burgers’ equation, i.e., we do not use Hopf-Cole transformation to reduce Burgers’ equation into the linear heat equation. Absolute…

The purpose of this paper is to provide direct proofs of certain theta function identities analogous to Ramanujan’s <i>P-Q</i> eta functions identities.
Mohammad Ghorbanzadeh, Asghar Kerayechian
In this paper, a numerical solution for a system of singularly perturbed convection-diffusion equations is studied. The system is discretized by the Il’in scheme on a uniform mesh. It is proved that the numerical scheme has first order accuracy, which is unif…

In present paper, the properties of the Bayes Shrinkage estimator is studied for the measure of dispersion of an inverse Gaussian model under the Minimax estimation criteria.
Dmitriy Stukalin, Werner H. Schmidt
Issues related to the implementation of dynamic programming for optimal control of a three-dimensional dynamic model (the fish populations management problem) are presented. They belong to a class of models called Lotka-Volterra models. The existence of biono…
