Applied Mathematics (AM) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in applied mathematics. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema…
Qiang Zhu, Zhihong Xiao, Guanglian Qin, Fang Ying
In this paper, we define the generalized linear models (GLM) based on the observed data with incomplete information and random censorship under the case that the regressors are stochastic. Under the given conditions, we obtain a law of iterated logarithm and…
Lifeng Wu, Zuoliang Xiong, Yiping Deng
In this paper, we studied a non-autonomous predator-prey system where the prey dispersal in a two-patch environment. With the help of a continuation theorem based on coincidence degree theory, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of positive p…
Manoj K. Verma, Shri Ram
This paper deals with Bianchi type VI0 anisotropic cosmological models filled with a bulk viscous cosmic fluid in the presence of time-varying gravitational and cosmological constant. Physically realistic solutions of Einstein's field equations are obtained b…

In the present article, we construct the exact traveling wave solutions of some nonlinear PDEs in the mathematical physics via (1 + 1) dimensional Kaup Kupershmit equation, the (1 + 1) dimensional seventh order KdV equation and (1 + 1) dimensional Kersten-Kra…
Mousa Khalifa Ahmed
On the basis of the thin-shell theory and on the use of the transfer matrix approach, this paper presents the vibrational response and buckling analysis of three-lobed cross-section cylindrical shells, with circumferentially varying thickness, subjected to un…
Abdul Aziz, Nisar A. Rather
In this paper we consider a problem of investigating the dependence of on for every real or complex number with , , and present certain compact generali- zations which, besides yielding some interesting results as corollaries, include some well-known results,…
Linghua Huang, Qingjun Wu, Gonglin Yuan
In this paper, we prove the global convergence of the Perry-Shanno’s memoryless quasi-Newton (PSMQN) method with a new inexact line search when applied to nonconvex unconstrained minimization problems. Preliminary numerical results show that the PSMQN with th…
Anwa Zhou, Zhibin Zhu, Hao Fan, Qian Qing
In this paper, three new hybrid nonlinear conjugate gradient methods are presented, which produce suf?cient descent search direction at every iteration. This property is independent of any line search or the convexity of the objective function used. Under sui…
Antonio Scalia, Mezhlum A. Sumbatyan
The reconstruction problem for elliptic voids located in the regular (equilateral) triangle is studied. A known point source is applied to the boundary of the domain, and it is assumed that the input data is obtained from the free-surface input data over a ce…
Alexey Stakhov, Samuil Aranson
This article refers to the “Mathematics of Harmony” by Alexey Stakhov [1], a new interdisciplinary direction of modern science. The main goal of the article is to describe two modern scientific discoveries—New Geometric Theory of Phyl-lotaxis (Bodnar’s Geomet…
