Let us consider higher dimensional canards in a sow-fast system R 2+2 with a bifurcation parameter. Then, the slow manifold sometimes shows various aspects due to the bifurcation. Introducing a key notion “symmetry” to the slow-fast system, it becomes clear w…

A recursive method based on successive computations of perimeters of inscribed regular polygons for estimating π is formulated by employing the Pythagorean theorem alone without resorting to any trigonometric calculations. The approach is classical but the fo…

We present old and new results about the size function of a set providing simple and complete proofs using basic tools of general topology. For instance, the decomposition of the size function is given and, under the calmness property of a set, the right cont…

Our purpose is to introduce new necessary conditions for a fixed point of maps on non-metric spaces. We use a contraction map on a metric topological space and a lately published definition of limit of a function between the metric topological space and the n…

In 1958, Baker posed the question that if f and g are two permutable transcendental entire functions, must their Julia sets be the same? In order to study this problem of permutable transcendental entire functions, by the properties of permutable transcendent…

In this work, we use the finiteness of the Mordell-weil group and the Riemann Roch spaces to give a geometric parametrization of the set of algebraic points of any given degree over the field of rational numbers Q on curve C 3 ( 11): y 11 = x 3 ( x -1) 3 . Th…

The solution of many conduction heat transfer problems is found by two-dimensional simplification using the analytical method since different points have different initial temperatures. The temperature at each point of a given element can be analyzed through…
