The main goal of this review is to present the state of health of modern students in Russia, the regulatory documents defining the activities of educational organizations to preserve the health and safety of students, as well as the reasons for the lack of effectiveness of their implementation in the education system. A model and technology for preparing future teachers to conduct health-saving activities in educational institutions and the system for monitoring the health of students using the developed electronic passports are proposed. The number of advantages of this approach compared to traditional preventive examinations are discussed.
