The AC impedance of amorphous-nano-crystalline silicon composite thin films (a-nc-Si:H) from mHz to MHz at different temperatures has been studied. The samples were prepared by Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition technique. The X-ray diffraction and hig…

Vehicles with variable steering characteristics have long been studied and compared with those having typical fixed gear ratio steering, and the variable gear ratio properties are reported to have improved maneuverability and stability in high-speed lane chan…

The flight of albatross ( Diomedea exulans ) takes advantage of the up-drift which is determined by the product of relative wind velocity and it’s gradient above the sea surface, to power its elegant (dynamic) flight over the ocean. Some of the complicated fl…

Model-based controllers can significantly improve the performance of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) systems. However, the complexity of these strategies constraints large scale implementation. In this work, with a view to reduce complexity without…

It has been reported that steering systems with derivative terms have a heightened lateral acceleration and yaw rate response in the normal driving range. However, in ranges where the lateral acceleration is high, the cornering force of the front wheels decre…

The distribution of droplet surface pressure is uneven under the action of high velocity gas streams in gas wells, and there exists a pressure difference which leads to droplet deformation before and after the droplet. Moreover, it affects the critical liquid…
Dimitri Volchenkov, Bettina E. Bläsing, Thomas Schack
We propose the new experimental method for investigating and approximating the organization and structure of movements with given accuracy. The composition of approximating trajectories illuminating the movement traits discloses the level of movement expertis…

Many studies on fiber reinforced polymer composite bars, as a substitute for reinforcing bars, have been conducted to solve corrosion of steel in reinforced concrete structures since 1960s’. However, FRP Bars have a lower elastic modulus than steel rebar as a…

Waste impoundments are usually not protected by any growing crops, soil roughness, or wind barriers, and dust due to wind erosion of the surface waste material can be a major environmental problem. The tailings dam in Aitik is highly susceptible to wind erosi…
