EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in…
Johannes Goeke, Andreas Henne
A thermal heat storage system with an energy content of 40 kWh and a temperature of 58°C will be presented. This storage system is suitable for supporting the use of renewable energies in buildings and for absorbing solar heat, heat from co-generation and hea…
Arie Shenkman, Saad Tapuchi, Dmitry Baimel
The paper proposes a new type of the synchronous capacitive machine operated on a principle of the electric field effect. The proposed machine has smaller size and lighter weight than the standard electromagnetic synchronous machines with the same rated param…
Manzar Ahmed, Uzma Amin, Suhail Aftab, Zaki Ahmed
Microgrid is a new concept in power generation. The Microgrid concept assumes a cluster of loads and micro sources operating as a single controllable system that provides both power and heat to its local area. Not much is known about Microgrid behavior as a w…
Mouaaz Nahas, M. Sabry, Saud Al-Lehyani
In Middle East region, where there are plentiful amounts of solar radiation and great desert areas, solar energy can play a potential role in replacing conventional fuel-operated electricity generation methods with a cost-effective, sustainable solution. This…

Compared with front engine vehicle, the windward side’s flow field in cooling model of rear engine bus is complicated and it can’t be calculated by means of 1D model. For this problem, this paper has used Star-CCM to build a 3D simulation model of cooling sys…
Kondakkagari Dharma Reddy, Pathi Venkataramaiah, Tupakula Reddy Lokesh
The usage of phase change materials (PCM) to store the heat in the form of latent heat is increased, because large quantity of thermal energy is stored in smaller volumes. In the present experimental investigation, sodium thiosulphate pentahydrate is employed…
Sri P. Mohana Reddy, Pathi Venkataramaiah, Devuru Vishnu Vardhan Reddy
This paper focused on selection of best materials for absorber tube and reflective surfaces of Solar Parabolic Collector (SPC) using fuzzy logic, after analysing the material data. The glass mirror and Aluminium absorber have been identified as best materials…

External mixture formation (PFI) of a diesel fuel aerosol has employed to investigate the diesel HCCI engine combustion and emissions characteristics. The key to the external mixture formation with diesel fuel is the proper fuel/air mixture preparation. A pro…
Hsin-Hsin Hsieh, Jen-Loong Hwang, Chia-Yu Lin, Jang-Hsing Hsieh
This paper presents sputtered-deposited Ag nanoparticles (NPs) on the encapsulant material (ethylene vinyl acetate, EVA) with the variation of annealing condition on crystalline silicon solar cell to enhance the light intensity, and a conventional solar cell…
Fábio Branco Vaz de Oliveira, Kengo Imakuma, Delvonei Alves de Andrade
This paper discusses and presents figures about the future power consumption in the world and, especially in Brazil, based on the current world and Brazilian’s energy scenarios. Emphasis is given to the scenarios of nuclear power and uranium resources demand.…

EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
