Atrial fibrillation is an increasingly common sig nificant arrhythmia with potentially serious out comes. Myocardial infarction is a common consequence of atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease. When the two conditions occur together, the consequences can be compounded. This article briefly reviews some of the potentials for the relationship.
