Topological design of service networks is studied in the paper. Quantitative model and algorithm minimizing cost of processing and delivery is described. Algorithm solving combinatorial problem of optimal design based on binary partitioning, a parametric sear…
Sudhan Majhi, Paul Richardson
The paper analyzes power spectral density (PSD) of orthogonal pulse-based signals for time hopping ultra wideband (TH-UWB) systems. Our extensive studies show that the PSD of these signals not only depends on the time dithering code and the modulation schemes…
Gang Zheng, Yanxin Guo
Link disruption has a considerable impact on routing in multilayered satellite networks, which includes predictable disruption from the periodic satellite motion and unpredictable disruption from communication faults. Based on the analysis on the predictabili…

This paper deals with the presentation of different multi-user detectors in the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) context. The challenge is always to optimize the compromise between performance and complexity. Compared with the solution common…
Xiaoyun Teng, Xiaoyi Zhang, Hongyi Yu
Frequency estimation is transformed to a pattern recognition problem, and a least squares support vector machine (LS-SVM) estimator is derived. The estimator can work efficiently without the need of statistics knowledge of the observations, and the estimation…
Wei Yan, Shengyu Yu, Yueming Cai
To reduce the feedbacks between access point and all nodes in lossy wireless networks, a clustered system model consisting of a cluster head and multiple common nodes is investigated. Network coding has been proposed for more efficient retransmissions in reli…
Nannan Wang, Zhiyi Fang, Kaige Yan, Yu Tang, Xingchao An
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), which is an open architecture, provides developers with more freedom. However, its security problem goes from bad to worse. By taking an insurance business in Formal Concept Analysis (SOA-FCA) Service Components based Serv…

To improve the performance of short-range wireless communications, channel quality must be improved by avoiding interference and multi-path fading. Frequency hopping spread spectrum(FHSS) is a transmission technique where the carrier hops from frequency to fr…
Shuhong Jiao, Robert Goutte
The fast growth of the exchange traffic in medical imagery on the Internet justifies the creation of adapted tools guaranteeing the quality and the confidentiality of the information while respecting the legal and ethical constraints, specific to this field.…

A Nim-type computer game of strategy on plane is described in this paper. It is demonstrated that winning strategies of this two-person game are determined by a system of equations with two unknown integer sequences. Properties of winning points/states are di…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
