This study was trying to predict the mutations in H1 hemagglutinins of influenza A virus from North America including the predictions of mu-tation position, the predictions of would-be-mutated amino acids and the predictions of time of occurrence of mutations…
Mohsin Khan, Chandrasekhar Babu Gorle, Ping Wang, Xiao-Hui Liu, Su-Ling Li
High throughput gene expression analysis is swiftly becoming the focal point for deciphering molecular mechanisms underlying various dif-ferent biological questions. Testament to this is the fact that vast volumes of expression profiles are being generated ra…

In this paper we investigate frequency aliasing in spectral method of measuring T wave alter-nans, which may lead a high false positive rate. Microvolt T wave alternans(TWA) has been evaluated as a means of predicting occurrence of ventricular tachyarrhythmia…
Na Zhang, Zhen-Sheng Deng, Fang Wang, Xiao-Yi Wang
Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is mainly applied to white matter fiber tracking in human brain, but there is still a debate on how many diffusion gradient directions should be used to get the best results. In this paper, the performance of 7 protocols corresp…

Objective: Epidemiological studies have found that lead exposure increases the risk for Park-inson’s disease and patients with Parkinson’s disease have lower odds of developing non-smoking-related cancer (1). It would be inter-esting therefore to find the mol…

Systems Biology is a relatively new branch of biology that brings together an interdisciplinary team of scientist, computer engineers and mathematicians. Biomedicine can gain much from the input of Systems Biology. The object and aims of this article centre o…
Fatemeh Moosawi, Hassan Mohabatkar
In the present work, computational analyses were applied to study the subcellular localiza-tion and posttranslational modifications of hu-man prion proteins (PrPs). The tentative location of prion protein was determined to be in the nu-cleolus inside the nucl…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
