Compensating for fluorescence overlap in multiparameter flow cytometry datasets, of which one parameter is linear distributed and at least one parameter is logarithmic distributed, leads usually to extreme high compensation values. We investigated this phenom…

Many studies suggest that EEG signals provide enough information for the detection of human emotions with feature based classification methods. However, very few studies have reported a classification method that reliably works for individual participants (cl…

We hypothesized that a relationship existed between the mechanical properties and the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) parameters of muscles, as already demonstrated in cartilaginous tissues. The aim was to develop an indirect evaluation tool of the mechanica…

Most of sleep disorders are diagnosed based on the sleep scoring and assessments. The purpose of this study is to combine detrended fluctuation analysis features and spectral features of single electroencephalograph (EEG) channel for the purpose of building a…

The “overlapping equilibria” effect observed in the processes of electrolytic dissociation of many weak multibasic organic acids determines the character of these processes. In this communication, the degree of “overlapping equilibria” in case of weak dibasic…

Changes induced by cerebrovascular damage (CVD) and amigdalo-hippocampal atrophy (AHC) on brain rhythmicity as revealed by scalp electroencephalography (EEG) were evaluated in a cohort of subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in order to detect differ…

We propose and compare two multi-channel fusion schemes to utilize the information extracted from simultaneously recorded multiple newborn electroencephalogram (EEG) channels for seizure detection. The first approach is known as the multi-channel feature fusi…

Mesenchymal stem/progenitor cells (MSC/MPC) from a variety of tissue sources (bone marrow, adipose tissue, fat pads, synovial membranes, synovial fluid, skin, muscle and periosteal tissue) have been widely applied for tissue engineering applications to genera…

This study compared reconstruction algorithms [filtered back projection (FBP) and simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique (SIRT)] with respect to radiation doses and image quality and suggested the possibility of decreasing the exposure dose in digita…
