The Journal of Intelligence Learning Systems and Applications (JILSA) is a peer reviewed international journal with a key objective to provide the academic and industrial community a medium for presenting original cutting-edge research related to intelligent learning systems and their applications. JILSA invites autho…
Manar Maraqa, Farid Al-Zboun, Mufleh Dhyabat, Raed Abu Zitar
The objective of this research is to introduce the use of different types of neural networks in human hand gesture recognition for static images as well as for dynamic gestures. This work focuses on the ability of neural networks to assist in Arabic Sign Lang…

To solve the mapping problem for the mobile robots in the unknown environment, a dynamic growing self-organizing map with growing-threshold tuning automatically algorithm (DGSOMGT) based on Self-organizing Map is proposed. It introduces a value of spread fact…
Thangairulappan Kathirvalavakumar, Subramanian Jeyaseeli Subavathi
In this paper, an efficient weight initialization method is proposed using Cauchy’s inequality based on sensitivity analy- sis to improve the convergence speed in single hidden layer feedforward neural networks. The proposed method ensures that the outputs of…
Altaf Hossain, Mohammed Nasser
In the recent years, the use of GARCH type (especially, ARMA-GARCH) models and computational-intelligence-based techniques—Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Relevance Vector Machine (RVM) have been successfully used for financial forecasting. This paper deals…

An image consists of large data and requires more space in the memory. The large data results in more transmission time from transmitter to receiver. The time consumption can be reduced by using data compression techniques. In this technique, it is possible t…
Angappan Geetha, Venkatachalam Ramalingam, Sengottaiyan Palanivel
This article proposes a feature extraction method for an integrated face tracking and facial expression recognition in real time video. The method proposed by Viola and Jones [1] is used to detect the face region in the first frame of the video. A rectangular…
Stephen Cossell, Jose Guivant
A parallel version of the traditional grid based cost-to-go function generation algorithm used in robot path planning is introduced. The process takes advantage of the spatial layout of an occupancy grid by concurrently calculating the next wave front of grid…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
