The Journal of Intelligence Learning Systems and Applications (JILSA) is a peer reviewed international journal with a key objective to provide the academic and industrial community a medium for presenting original cutting-edge research related to intelligent learning systems and their applications. JILSA invites autho…
Gursel Serpen, Michael Riesen
This paper proposes machine learning techniques to discover knowledge in a dataset in the form of if-then rules for the purpose of formulating queries for validation of a Bayesian belief network model of the same data. Although do-main expertise is often avai…
Samira Chabaa, Abdelouhab Zeroual, Jilali Antari
This paper presents the development of an artificial neural network (ANN) model based on the multi-layer perceptron (MLP) for analyzing internet traffic data over IP networks. We applied the ANN to analyze a time series of measured data for network response e…

Currently, large amounts of information exist in Web sites and various digital media. Most of them are in natural lan-guage. They are easy to be browsed, but difficult to be understood by computer. Chunk parsing and entity relation extracting is important wor…

Thresholding is a popular image segmentation method that converts gray-level image into binary image. The selection of optimum thresholds has remained a challenge over decades. In order to determine thresholds, most methods analyze the histogram of the image.…

This paper proposes a non-segmented document clustering method using self-organizing map (SOM) and frequent max substring technique to improve the efficiency of information retrieval. SOM has been widely used for document clustering and is successful in many…

A new speed control approach based on the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) to a closed-loop, variable speed induction motor (IM) drive is proposed in this paper. ANFIS provides a nonlinear modeling of motor drive system and the motor speed can ac…
Amit Mishra, Zaheeruddin Zaheeruddin
In this paper, a hybrid Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN) system for function approximation is presented. The proposed FNN can handle numeric and fuzzy inputs simultaneously. The numeric inputs are fuzzified by input nodes upon presentation to the network while the…

The autonomous mobile robots must be flexible to learn the new complex control behaviours in order to adapt effectively to a dynamic and varying environment. The proposed approach of this paper is to create a controller that learns the complex behaviours inco…

Reinforcement Learning is a commonly used technique for learning tasks in robotics, however, traditional algorithms are unable to handle large amounts of data coming from the robot’s sensors, require long training times, and use dis-crete actions. This work i…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
