JSIP is an international refereed journal dedicated to the latest advancements in signal and information processing. The goal of this journal is to keep a record of the state-of-the-art research and promote the research work in the areas. This journal invites original research and review papers that address the follow…
Sawsan Rekik, Noureddinne Ellouze
The objective of this paper is to develop an efficient P wave detection method in electrocardiogram (ECG) using the local entropy criterion (EC) and wavelet transform (WT) modulus maxima. The detection of P wave relates to the diagnosis of many heart diseases…
Mohammad Kalimuddin Ahmad, Stephan Didas, Alemdar Hasanov, Javid Iqbal
Ahmad et al. in their paper [1] for the first time proposed to apply sharp function for classification of images. In continuation of their work, in this paper we investigate the use of sharp function as an edge detector through well known diffusion models. Fu…

In Wavelet Packets Based Multicarrier Multicode CDMA system, the multicode (MCD) part ensures the transmission for high speed and flexible data rate, the multicarrier (MC) part ensures the flexibility of handling multiple data rates, and wavelet packets modul…
Michael A. Persinger, Kevin S. Saroka
Spectral Power Densities (SPD) within the Quantitative Electroencephalographic (QEEGs) Profiles of 41 men and women displayed repeated transient coherence with the first three modes (7 - 8 Hz, 13 - 14 Hz, and 19 - 20 Hz) of the Schumann Resonance in real time…
Guanlei Xu, Xiaotong Wang, Xiaogang Xu
Linear canonical transform (LCT) is widely used in physical optics, mathematics and information processing. This paper investigates the generalized uncertainty principles, which plays an important role in physics, of LCT for concentrated data in limited suppo…
Amin Alqudah, Ahmad Malkawi, Abdullah Alwadie
The purpose of this paper is to present a new adaptive control method used to adjust the output voltage and current of a DC-DC (DC: Direct Current) power converter under different sudden changes in load. The controller used is a PID controller (Proportional,…
Mohamed Abo-Zahhad, Reda Ragab Gharieb, Sabah M. Ahmed, Mahmoud Khaled Abd-Ellah
This paper presents a medical image compression approach. In this approach, first the image is preprocessed by Differential Pulse Code Modulator (DPCM), second, the output of the DPCM is wavelet transformed, and finally the Huffman encoding is applied to the…

Template matching is a fundamental problem in pattern recognition, which has wide applications, especially in industrial inspection. In this paper, we propose a 1-D template matching algorithm which is an alternative for 2-D full search block matching algorit…
Abdelaziz Trabelsi, Otmane Ait Mohamed, Yves Audet
In estimating the linear prediction coefficients for an autoregressive spectral model, the concept of using the Yule-Walker equations is often invoked. In case of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), a typical parameter compensation method involves using a m…
Kizito Nkurikiyeyezu, Faustin Ahishakiye, Cyprien Nsengimana, Etienne Ntagwirumugara
This paper describes an audio digital signal-processing toolkit that the authors develop to supplement a lecture course on digital signal processing (DSP) taught at the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Rwanda. In engin…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
