JTTs is an international refereed journal dedicated to the latest advancements in transportation technologies. The goal of this journal is to provide a forum for scientists and academicians worldwide to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and perspectives in diverse areas of transportation technologies, and…
İlker Erkan, Hasan Hastemoglu
The primary goal of crowd evacuation in urban underground passages or subways is to evacuate as many evacuees as possible to safe areas in the shortest time when emergency events occur. This paper chooses the underground passages of one metro in Istanbul, Tur…
Shenchao Wang, Yubin Qian, Xianguo Qu
A collision model, an automobile model and a multi-rigid-body model in PC-crash are analyzed. By simulating a side collision accident between a car and an electric bicycle (EB), a method that reproduces the car-electric bicycle side collision accident based o…
Chunke Liu, Xinping Song, Jiao Wang
Based on the basic principle of vehicle crash analysis using the finite element method, a car finite element model was built by using Hypermesh software. To simulate the front collision test of the car, the LS-DYNA software is adopted to calculate the deforma…
Liming Li, Xiaodong Chai, Shubin Zheng, Wenfa Zhu
Based on the statistical characteristics analysis of random noise power and autocorrelation function, this paper proposes a de-noising method for track state detection signal by using Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD). This method is used to noise reduction…
Fabio Cignini, Sergio De Domenico, Leone Martellucci, Roberto Capata
This paper presents a novel concept, the Hybrid Power Pack (HPP), which consists of a hybridization kit for transforming small city cars, powered by an original diesel engine, into a parallel hybrid vehicle. The study was jointly conducted by the University o…
Mahkame Megan Khoshyaran
The objective of this paper is to study the impact of a vehicular network on a physical (road) network consisting of several intersections controlled by traffic lights. The vehicular network is considered to be a random graph superimposed on a regular Hamilto…
R. Sonnenburg
This paper is devoted to the problem of finding optimized parameter combinations of automotive damper modules. Different cost functions using the amplitude spectrum of the excitation and the frequency response function of the car model will be investigated an…
Ying Ye, Jiali Shen, Rickard Bergqvist
This paper develops a model for analyzing the potential of longer and heavier vehicles (LHVs) related to pre- and post-haulage in the intermodal rail-road transport chain (IRT). The paper considers the combined economic and emission costs among three differen…
Negin Alemazkoor, Mark Burris
By assigning different toll rates to different lanes during peak traffic hours, the demand for each lane of a road can be optimized. Lanes with lower travel times charge higher toll rates which are paid by those drivers who have higher values of travel time (…
Jamal Raiyn, Tomer Toledo
Many modeling approaches have been proposed to help forecast and detect incidents. Accident has received the most attention from researchers due to its impacts economically. The traffic congestion costs billions of dollars to economy. The main reasons of majo…
