Research on Building a Modernized Economic System in China: Hot Topics and Frontier Perspectives (2017-2024)

Abstract
The 19th Party Congress put forward the concept of building a modernized economic system, which aims to achieve the transformation process of China’s economy from high-speed expansion to high-quality improvement. Achieving modernization of the economic system is the key to further promoting China’s economic development. With the help of the bibliometric tool CiteSpace software, a visual analysis of 460 effective documents on the modernized economic system in the domestic core journal library from 2017 to 2024 found that: 1) The research on the modernized economic system in China during this period has generally experienced three stages of starting and exploding, stable development and maturity and stability. 2) The hot topics of the research on modernized economic systems are mainly focused on the promotion of high-quality development and modernization systems, building a new development pattern and modernized economic system, deepening supply-side structural reform, and upgrading industrial structure. 3) Currently, the cutting-edge topics of modernized economic system research have been expanded to the dimensions of digital economy driving, new quality productivity and modernized industrial system, and Chinese-style economic modernization. An in-depth discussion of this topic will help promote China’s economic development to a higher quality through the construction of a modernized economic system and provide Chinese wisdom and solutions for more developing countries to realize the path of modernization.
