A series of natural rubber-snail shell powder vulcanizates were compounded on a two-roll mill, and moulded on a compression moulding machine. The mechanical and end-use properties of the natural rubber vulcanizates were investigated at snail shell powder cont…
Turup Pandurangan Mohan, Krishnan Kanny
This work presents the effect of synthetic procedures (extrusion and casting) on the dispersion characteristics of nano layered silicate clay particles in the polypropylene (PP) polymer matrix. Three different molecular weights PP samples are taken and filled…
Hongjuan Ma, Kazuaki Morita, Hiroyuki Hoshina, Noriaki Seko
Radiation induced graft polymerization on polymeric matrix followed by functionalization is widely accepted for the preparation of metal adsorbents. In this paper, a pre-irradiation method was used for emulsion graft polymerization of 4-hydroxybutyl acrylate…
Pragnesh N. Dave, Nikul N. Patel
Epoxy resin based Unsaturated poly(ester-amide) resins (UPEAs) can be prepared by many methods but here these were prepared by reported method [1]. These UPEAs were then treated with acrylotl chloride to afford acrylated UPEAs resin (<i>i.e.</i> AUPEAs). Inte…
Mariem Chaari, Adel Matoussi, Zouheir Fakhfakh
Undoped zinc oxide (ZnO) has been prepared at various growth temperatures by conventional sintering process. The morphology and crystalline properties of ZnO pellets were examined by scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and X-ray diffraction.…

The size of BaTiO3 particles was controlled by adjusting the molar ratio of the starting materials (BaCl2 + TiO2) to mineralizer (NaOH + KOH) during a composite-hydroxide-mediated approach using a novel hydrothermal reaction a…
Mohammed Ameri, Noureddine Bouzouira, Mohammed Doui-Aici, Rabah Khenata, Abdelkader Yakoubi, Mohammed Maachou
The structural and electronic properties of the ternary CuxAg1–xI, alloy have been calculated, using the full-potential linear muffin-tin-orbital (FP-LMTO) method based on density functional theory, within both the local density approxim…
Imran Khan, M. Zulfequar
The electrical conduction phenomena, dielectric response and microstructure have been discussed in sintered silicon nitride ceramics at different temperature and frequencies. Microstructure and phase of the sintered samples was investigated by Scanning Electr…

Materials Sciences and Applications (MSA) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in materials. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of material… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
