The water chemistry of the secondary coolant in the majority of Nuclear Power Plants is controlled by AVT (All Volatile Treatment), wherein volatile amines are used to maintain the alkaline pH required for minimizing the corrosion of structural materials whic…
Md. Khalilur Rahma, Raphaël Marchand, Budrun Neher
Gold, nickel and copper are usually used in connector of the smart card. Since Au is expensive and Ni is an allergenic material, simulated (CES) and bibliographical work is carried out in order to replace the Au and Ni layer in smart card connectors without s…
Gerardo Zavala Olivares, Mónica Jazmín Hernández Gayosso
In this paper, the corrosion of steel pipelines transporting hydrocarbon condensed products was studied. Different activities of sampling and analysis were carried out to diagnose the failure causes and to establish a control system for the corrosion problem.…

The aim of this study was to assess the stress patterns on the peri-implant zone and residual alveolar ridge in different overdenture attachment system designs by the photoelasticity method. Four attachments systems were tested: O-ring, ERA, Bar-clip, and Bar…
Tshwafo E. Motaung, Linda Z. Linganiso, Maya John, Rajesh D. Anandjiwala
This article describes the results of an investigation on the influence of loading silane treated sugar cane bagasse (SB) on the morphology and properties of recycled polypropylene (rPP). The samples are prepared through melt extrusion followed by injection m…
Tshwafo E. Motaung, Teboho C. Mokhena
The objective of this work was to extract sugar bagasse cellulose nanofibres by using three different processes, namely: mechanical fibrillation, bleaching and mild acid hydrolysis. Cellulose nano-fibres with diameters in the nano range and estimated lengths…
