Materials Sciences and Applications (MSA) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in materials. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of material…
José Refugio Parga, Jesús Leobardo Valenzuela, Víctor Vazquez, Mario Rodriguez, Héctor Moreno
Mining, ore processing, and smelting activities have contaminated soil and water resources with cyanide and heavy metals throughout the world. In-situ chemical immobilization is a remediation technology that decreases the concentra tions of dissolved ions of…
Norihiro Shimoi, Shun-Ichiro Tanaka
To obtain a high field emission (FE) current with a low driving voltage, it is important to control and optimize carbon nanofiber (CNF) array patterns for FE. While there have been various means for controlling CNF array patterns re ported over the past few d…

The present work was initiated to investigate how technology of preparation of nanocomposites (Co 45 Fe 45 Zr 10 ) Z(Al 2 O 3 ) 1-Z affects their magneto-optical (MO) properties. The spectral, magnetic field and concentration dependences of the transversal Ke…
Daniel Tan, Yang Cao, Enis Tuncer, Patricia Irwin
Nanodielectric composites have been developed in recent years attempting to improve the dielectric properties such as dielectric constant, dielectric strength and voltage endurance. Among various investigations, nanoparticle dispersion was particularly emphas…

Concrete carbonation relates to the diffusion of CO 2 inthe atmosphere through the concrete pores and to the dissolution of the hydrates. A great deal of uncertainty still remains in this subject as a result of the random nature of the infiltration of these a…
Abd El Fattah Mustafa Khourshid, Mohamed Ahmed Ghanem
Many applications operate at sufficiently low temperature conditions where most structural steels become very brittle and, therefore, unsuitable for use in safety-critical structures. So the materials used in the vessels or storage tanks which keep the natura…
E. J. Di Liscia, F. Álvarez, E. Burgos, E. B. Halac, H. Huck, M. Reinoso
Results on stress analysis for single-crystal diamonds are presented. Isolated crystals were studied by Raman mapping and depth profiling techniques, using confocal microscopy. Diamonds were deposited on molybdenum and tantalum by hot filament and microwave C…

Materials Sciences and Applications (MSA) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in materials. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of material… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
