Stellite 720 is a high-carbon Co-Cr-Mo alloy, designed for severe wear/corrosion environments. This article presents a study of the Stellite 720 coating on stainless steel 304 under block-on-ring wear test. The coating is deposited through a slurry/powder met…
Stergios Pericles Tsiloufas, Ronald Lesley Plaut
This paper presents the ductility characterization for a medium carbon steel, for two microstructural conditions, that has been evaluated using the continuum damage mechanics theory, as proposed by Kachanov and developed by Lemaitre. Tensile tests were carrie…
Sergej Aman, Alexander Aman, Juergen Tomas
This paper presents the method of monitoring of cracks formation based on analysis of light impulses that appear during the cracks formation. The light impulses appear simultaneously in the ultraviolet (UV) and near-infrared (NIR) wave-length ranges. However,…
Dalila Berdous, Djamel Eddine Akretche
A membrane process for metal recovery from aqueous solutions was studied. Metal ions diffused from the feed compartment to the stripping compartment through an hybrid Donnan dialysis which consists to combine two ion exchange membranes with solvent impregnate…

Catalytic activities for direct NO decomposition were investigated over C-type cubic Y 2 O 3 –Tb 4 O 7 –ZrO 2 prepared by a coprecipitation method. The NO decomposition activity was enhanced by partial substitution of the yttrium sites with terbium in a (Y 0.…
Kasem K. Kasem, Nida Zia
Photo-activities at Inorganic/Organic/Interfaces (IOI) consisting of CdS/ Polyterthiophine (PTTh) assemblies were investigated in nanoparticle suspension and in thin solid film forms. The effects PTTh modifier cause on the photoelec-trochemical behavior of th…
