Abstract
The effects of Co 2 O 3 on the crystallization and colorization of lithium aluminosilicate glass ceramic w ere investigated by using differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show ed that the introduction of Co 2 O 3 not only change d the color of lithium aluminosilicate glass but also affect ed its crystallization by increasing the crystallizing maximum peak temperature ( T p ) and weakening the crystalli zation ability. In addition, the color of LAS glass ceramics c ould be achieved by controlling the suitable Co 2 O 3 and ap propriate crystallization temperature.
