Previously we reported the identification of seven quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated with the rice yield measuring five parameters including panicles per plant (PPP), spikelets per panicle (SPP), seed set percentage (SSP), 1000-grain weight (TGW) and…

In this paper we resolve the grandfather paradox in non-quantum and quantum gravitation theories for time travelling in a time wormhole. For macroscopic bodies, the main solution is alignment of the thermodynamic time arrows, resulting in the time traveller d…

It has been reported that at temperatures above the critical there is no “continuity of liquid and gas”, as originally hypothesized by van der Waals [1]. Rather, both gas and liquid phases, with characteristic properties as such, extend to supercritical tempe…

Complex systems throughout Nature display structures and functions that are built and maintained, at least in part, by optimal energies flowing through them—not specific, ideal values, rather ranges in energy rate density below which systems are starved and a…

A major cooling down of the northwestern Indian Ocean’s surface, including the Arabian Sea, starts in May, according to a well-known world atlas of SSTs. This is before the southwest monsoon which usually begins in June. Also within one year, there are two su…

In this work, we consider statistical diagnostic for general transformation models with right censored data based on empirical likelihood. The models are a class of flexible semiparametric survival models and include many popular survival models as their spec…

The Nubra valley nestled in the Karakorum Mountains of Ladakh houses about 600 glaciers of various dimensions out of which 114 glaciers were monitored in the first phase of study. The study of 114 glaciers suggests that small-size d glaciers outnumber the lar…

Possibilities of synchronized oscillations in glycolysis mediated by various extracellular metabolites are investigated theoretically using two-dimensional reaction-diffusion systems, which originate from the existing seven-variable model. Our simulation resu…
