Open Journal of Civil Engineering (OJCE) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in civil engineering. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of c…
N. U. Mate, S. V. Bakre, O. R. Jaiswal, K. K. Sayyad
The present paper addresses the comparative study of three adjacent single-degree-of freedom structures for elastic and inelastic system with and without pounding under seismic excitations. For the gap between three adjacent structures, the simulation is done…

In this study, Artificial Neural Network has been employed for analysis of triangular plate with different geometrical and loading parameters. Plates, having different sizes of concentric holes are analyzed. Finite element analysis for 81 cases is carried out…
V. A. Sawant, K. B. Ladhane
A finite element method based program has been developed to perform the static nonlinear analysis of pile group with six different configurations subjected to lateral loads. The pile has been assumed to remain elastic all the time whereas the soil has been as…

An experimental investigation is carried out to study the toughness of polymer modified steel fiber reinforced concrete. Volume fraction of steel fibers is varied from 0% to 7% at the interval of 1% by weight of cement. 15% SBR latex polymer was used by weigh…
Kouider Bendine, Rajan L. Wankhade
Active vibration control of functionally graded material (FGM) plate with integrated piezoelectric layers is studied. In this regard, a finite element model based on the classical plate theory is adopted and extended to the case of FGM plate to obtain a space…

Background: Cycling as a means of transport contributes to public health in terms of increasing the physical activity behaviour and reducing air pollution. In comparison to walking, cycling-spe cific environmental characteristics have been less investigated.…
Haibei Xiong, Miguel Angel Hidalgo Calvo
In the last few decades structure optimisation has become a main task in a civil engineering project. As a matter of fact, due to the complexity and particularity of every structure, the great amount of variables and design criteria to considerate and many ot…

Maintenance and rehabilitation projects of interstate facilities typically mandate lane closures. Lane closures require merging maneuvers that often result in reduced speeds and traffic bottlenecks. Conventionally, bottleneck merge control plans are developed…
Ilham Ibrahim, Hatice Nur Aras Mehan
During the past years different researchers have studied the causes of failure of flexible pavements and they offered variety of alternatives for solving these failure problems such as rutting, fatigue and low temperature cracking which are sourced from moist…

The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of c… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
