Classical Mahalanobis distance is used as a method of detecting outliers, and is affected by outliers. Some robust Mahalanobis distance is proposed via the fast MCD estimator. However, the bias of the MCD estimator increases significantly as the dimension inc…

In this paper we have demonstrated the ability of the new Bayesian measure of evidence of Yin (2012, Computational Statistics, 27: 237-249) to solve both the Behrens-Fisher problem and Lindley's paradox. We have provided a general proof that for any prior whi…
Shanchao Yang, Xin Yang, Guodong Xing, Yongming Li
This paper is to investigate the convergence rate of asymptotic normality of frequency polygon estimation for density function under mixing random fields, which include strongly mixing condition and some weaker mixing conditions. A Berry-Esseen bound of frequ…
Muhammad Zeshan Arshad, Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Munir Ahmad
In this work, the authors proposed a four parameter potentiated lifetime model named as Transmuted Exponentiated Moment Pareto (TEMP) distribution and discussed numerous characteristic measures of proposed model. Parameters are estimated by the method of maxi…
Min Wang, Yunshun Wu
This paper mainly talk s about a popular approach of volatility of a GARCH-type model in R, while the disturbances are independent and have identical Student-t distribution. It uses the Metropolis-Hastings method to perform the computations and gives the prog…

It is well-known that the power of Cochran’s Q test to assess the presence of heterogeneity among treatment effects in a clinical meta-analysis is low due to the small number of studies combined. Two modified tests ( PL 1 , PL 2) were proposed by replacing th…

Yin [1] has developed a new Bayesian measure of evidence for testing a point null hypothesis which agrees with the frequentist p-value thereby, solving Lindley’s paradox. Yin and Li [2] extended the methodology of Yin [1] to the case of the Behrens-Fisher pro…
Clemens Draxler, Jan Philipp Nolte
Draxler and Zessin [1] derived the power function for a class of conditional tests of assumptions of a psychometric model known as the Rasch model and suggested an MCMC approach developed by Verhelst [2] for the numerical approximation of the power of the tes…
Aissa Boudjella, 1 1, 1 1, Andrew Mugumya
In this investigation the electricity generation and the electricity capacity of energy mix for sub Saharan Africa from 2020 to 2040 including CO 2 emission from (coal, oil, gas) (Total Final Consumption, transport) and power generation were analyzed. These e…
Andrew Luong, Claire Bilodeau
Certain distributions do not have a closed-form density, but it is simple to draw samples from them. For such distributions, simulated minimum Hellinger distance (SMHD) estimation appears to be useful. Since the method is distance-based, it happens to be natu…
