Small area estimation (SAE) tackles the problem of providing reliable estimates for small areas, i.e. , subsets of the population for which sample information is not sufficient to warrant the use of a direct estimator. Hierarchical Bayesian approach to SAE pr…

Aspects of human behavior in cyber security allow more natural security to the user. This research focuses the appearance of anticipating cyber threats and their abstraction hierarchy levels on the mental picture levels of human. The study concerns the modeli…

An important problem with null hypothesis significance testing, as it is normally performed, is that it is uninformative to reject a point null hypothesis [1]. A way around this problem is to use range null hypotheses [2]. But the use of range null hypotheses…

Maximum entropy likelihood (MEEL) methods also known as exponential tilted empirical likelihood methods using constraints from model Laplace transforms (LT) are introduced in this paper. An estimate of overall loss of efficiency based on Fourier cosine series…

As a kind of weak-path dependent options, barrier options are an important kind of exotic options. Because the pricing formula for pricing barrier options with discrete observations cannot avoid computing a high dimensional integral, numerical calculation is…

The logistic regression model has been become commonly used to study the association between a binary response variable; it is widespread application rests on its easy application and interpretation. The subject of assessment of goodness-of-fit in logistic re…

Today, it is well known that ambient air pollution exposures may be related with different health outcomes including adverse birth outcomes (for instance, low birth weight and preterm birth). Then, researchers must estimate exposure to air pollution during di…

In many areas of applied statistics, confidence intervals for the mean of the population are of interest. Confidence intervals are typically constructed as-suming normality although non-normally distributed data are a common occurrence in practice. Given a la…

One of the aims in survey sampling is to search for the estimators with highest efficiency. In the present paper, three improved estimators of population mean have been proposed using some non-traditional measures of dispersion of auxiliary variable such as G…

In this paper, we consider the leverage effect on the CSI 300 Index yield and Hong Kong Hang Seng Index yield. It is modeled by the SV model with leverage. In this model, we compare the mainland and the Hong Kong stock market with stock market long-term effec…
