Open Journal of Statistics (OJS) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in statistics. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of statistics. All…
Anamika Kulshrestha, R. U. Khan, Devendra Kumar
In this paper explicit expressions and some recurrence relations are derived for marginal and joint moment generating functions of generalized order statistics from Erlang-truncated exponential distribution. The results for k -th record values and order stati…
Hsiao-Hsuan Wang, Yuehua Wu, Yuejiao Fu, Xiaogang Wang
The authors propose a robust semi-parametric empirical likelihood method to integrate all available information from multiple samples with a common center of measurements. Two different sets of estimating equations are used to improve the classical likelihood…
Kayode Ayinde, Emmanuel O. Apata, Oluwayemisi O. Alaba
The development of many estimators of parameters of linear regression model is traceable to non-validity of the assumptions under which the model is formulated, especially when applied to real life situation. This notwithstanding, regression analysis may aim…
Ming Wang, Lijun Zhang
Bayesian quantile regression has drawn more attention in widespread applications recently. Yu and Moyeed (2001) proposed an asymmetric Laplace distribution to provide likelihood based mechanism for Bayesian inference of quantile regression models. In this wor…
Kai Cui, Wenshan Cui
In this paper, Spike-and-Slab Dirichlet Process (SS-DP) priors are introduced and discussed for non-parametric Bayesian modeling and inference, especially in the mixture models context. Specifying a spike-and-slab base measure for DP priors combines the merit…
Daniel T. Cassidy
A Student’s t -distribution is obtained from a weighted average over the standard deviation of a normal distribution, σ, when 1/σ is distributed as chi. Left truncation at q of the chi distribution in the mixing integral leads to an effectively truncated Stud…
Kai Cui, Wenshan Cui
The concept of cointegration is widely used in applied non-stationary time series analysis to describe the co-movement of data measured over time. In this paper, we proposed a Bayesian model for cointegration test and analysis, based on the dynamic latent fac…
Pham Van Khanh
This paper considered an autoregressive time series where the slope contains random components with non-negative values. The authors determine the stationary condition of the series to estimate its parameters by the quasi-maximum likelihood method. The author…
Paola Cerchiello, Paolo Giudici
The aim of this paper is to present a new proposal for the classification of Academic institutions in terms of quality of teaching. Our methodological proposal borrows concepts from operational risk, such as scorecard models, employed to assess University per…
Qunying Wu
In this paper, the complete convergence and weak law of large numbers are established for ρ -mixing sequences of random variables. Our results extend and improve the Baum and Katz complete convergence theorem and the classical weak law of large numbers, etc.…

All… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
