This paper briefly reviews the Wilcoxon signed rank sum test and proposes a modification. Unlike the Wilcoxon method, the proposed approach does not require that the populations being studied be continuous. Also unlike the Wilcoxon signed rank test the propos…

The false discovery proportion (FDP) is a useful measure of abundance of false positives when a large number of hypotheses are being tested simultaneously. Methods for controlling the expected value of the FDP, namely the false discovery rate (FDR), have beco…
Eckhard Liebscher
In this paper we consider a linear regression model with fixed design. A new rule for the selection of a relevant submodel is introduced on the basis of parameter tests. One particular feature of the rule is that subjective grading of the model complexity can…

An AR(1) model with ARCH(1) error structure is known as the first-order double autoregressive (DAR(1)) model. In this paper, a conditional likelihood based method is proposed to obtain inference for the two scalar parameters of interest of the DAR(1) model. T…

Mixed orthogonal arrays of strength two and size s mn are constructed by grouping points in the finite projective geometry PG(mn-1, s). PG(mn-1, s) can be partitioned into [( s mn -1)/( s n -1)](n-1)-flats such that each (n-1)-flat is associated with a point…

This paper extends and generalizes the works of [1,2] to allow for cross-sectional dependence in the context of a two-way error components model and consequently develops LM test. The cross-sectional dependence follows the first order spatial autoregressive e…

Clinical trials are usually long term studies and it seems impossible to reach all required subjects at the same time. Performing interim analyses and monitoring results may provide early termination of trial after obtaining significant results. The aim of th…

The following article has been retracted due to the investigation of complaints received against it. Title: A New Method of Construction of Robust Second Order Rotatable Designs Using Balanced Incomplete Block Designs Authors: Bejjam Re. Victorbabu, Kottapall…

By exponentiating each of the components of a finite mixture of two exponential components model by a positive parameter, several shapes of hazard rate functions are obtained. Maximum likelihood and Bayes methods, based on square error loss function and objec…

In many applications a heterogeneous population consists of several subpopulations. When each subpopulation can be adequately modeled by a heteroscedastic single-index model, the whole population is characterized by a finite mixture of heteroscedastic single-…

The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of statistics. All… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
