Infant mortality rate (IMR) has been viewed as the vital index which can be used to measure the health level of a country or a district, and also can indirectly illustrate the economic development level of the country or district. In this paper, the authors 1…

In the article, hypothesis test for coefficients in high dimensional regression models is considered. I develop simultaneous test statistic for the hypothesis test in both linear and partial linear models. The derived test is designed for growing p and fixed…

Random Forest is an excellent classification tool, especially in the –omics sciences such as metabolomics, where the number of variables is much greater than the number of subjects, i.e., “n << p.” However, the choices for the argu…

In this paper, we extend the works by [1-5] accounting for autocorrelation both in the time specific effect as well as the remainder error term. Several transformations are proposed to circumvent the double autocorrelation problem in some specific cases. Esti…

This paper considers a Kullback-Leibler distance (KLD) which is asymptotically equivalent to the KLD by Goutis and Robert [1] when the reference model (in comparison to a competing fitted model) is correctly specified and that certain regularity conditions ho…

This article considers estimation of the unknown parameters for the compound Rayleigh distribution (CRD) based on a new life test plan called a progressive first failure-censored plan introduced by Wu and Kus (2009). We consider the maximum likelihood and Bay…

In the present paper as estimation of unknown pdf derivative of a spline function is suggested. It is studied its some statistical properties which are used to approximate maximal deviation of the spline estimation from pdf with maximum of nonstationary gauss…

Inference for the difference of two independent normal means has been widely studied in staitstical literature. In this paper, we consider the case that the variances are unknown but with a known relationship between them. This situation arises frequently in…

Certain locally optimal tests for deterministic components in vector time series have associated sampling distributions determined by a linear combination of Beta variates. Such distributions are nonstandard and must be tabulated by Monte Carlo simulation. In…
