Soft Nanoscience Letters (SNL) is a newly launched multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal covering fundamental and applied research in the field of soft nanoscience, which includes polymers and colloids. This will necessarily address nanostructured polymers (e.g. block copolymers), nanocomposites, physical gels, micr…

We demonstrate the use of photonic crystal fiber (PCF) joined in between two single mode fibers (SMF) as a concentra tion sensor. To realize this, one micrometer length PCF of hexagonal lattice is sandwiched between two SMF having one micrometer length each.…

Two sets of gold nanoparticles (NP) embedded in amorphous BaTiO 3 films were prepared by sol-gel method using spin coating. Sample (1) is having BaTiO 3 sol with 0.025 gm of Chloroauric acid dissolved in 10 ml of propan-2-ol, while sample (2) is having 0.086…

We report the first time fabrication of a silver- α nano alumina thin film hybrid and the observation of the Surface Plasmon Coupled Emission (SPCE) phenomenon in these substrates. We report an “ 8 ” fold enhancement in the intensity of the coupled emission s…

High-quality zinc oxide nanorods were grown on various substrates using zinc nitrate (Zn(NO 3 ) 2 ) and hexamethylene tetramine ((CH 2 ) 6 N 4 ). The substrates greatly affect the hydrothermal growth of ZnO nanorods. Making the best use the substrate effect,…

Titania nano particles were synthesized at carbon paste electrode by cyclic voltammetry and then it was employed for the determination of acetaminophen in phosphate buffer at pH 7.4 . Carbon paste electrode with titania nano particle displayed excellent elect…

We propose to measure the concentration of potassium chloride using photonic crystal fiber having circular air holes of diameter 400 nm. The principle of measurement is based on the linear variation of the transmitted field emerging from the PCF with respect…

Silver nanoparticles of diameters 3.4 to 13.2 nm grown at the interfaces between silicate glass and some oxide crystal lites exhibited about six orders of magnitude reduction in resistivity for a relative humidity change from 25% to 80%. Sn-SnO 2 nano core-sh…

Based on spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) calculations, the interaction between nickel cluster decorated single-wall carbon nanotube (CNT) and CO molecule has been investigated. DFT calculations are performed with generalized gradient approximat…

Comparative investigations of gas sensing characteristics of Fe 2 O 3 in both thin film as well as bulk forms have been performed. Thin film sensors were realized by first depositing Fe films using electron-beam evaporation followed by thermal oxidation. Bulk…

Intentional release of pathogens or biotoxin against humans, plants, or animals is an impending threat all over the world. Continuous monitoring of environment is required for their detection. These signals can help to distinguish whether the bioattack has oc…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
