The World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) will cover the general field of mechanics including the mechanics of solids, structures and fluids and their interaction. The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t…

Electro-explosive devices (EEDs) are components that initiate the explosive charge through electrical current input, converting it into chemical energy or kinetic energy in the form of heat, pressure, and shock waves. These mission-critical components are ext…

In this paper, the strongly nonlinear effects of an unbalanced mass and the supply voltage of a non-ideal DC motor on the vibration amplitude of a thin rectangular plate are investigated. The influence of these two parameters on the occurrence of the Sommerfe…

Thin-walled open-section beams, such as channel beams, exhibit a highly coupled mechanical behaviour when subjected to transverse loading, bending, and torsion. This coupling is mainly associated with non-uniform shear flow, the offset between the centroid an…
Zouhair Chaib, Christophe Delcher
Static and dynamic capacities of bolted connections are highly dependent on the preload. For this reason, and due to the inaccuracy of torque tightening technology, many other tightening technologies and preload monitoring have been developed. This paper disc…

Today, industrial designers typically rely on two main methods to estimate the external load distribution in bolted assemblies. The first is an analytical model based on the assumption of perfectly rigid bodies, which often fails to accurately identify the cr…

This work studies the energy distribution of pair production for 𝐵𝑒 4 9 and Al 13 25 using the Bethe-Heitler equation. We use the mathematics program “Mathematica” to compare the electromagnetic effects of photons interacting with beryllium and aluminum nuc…
Barthelemy Zra Mha, Guy Edgar Ntamack
This work presents the active control of nonlinear vibrations of a piezoelectric-elastic-piezoelectric sandwich beam, subjected to transverse excitation while neglecting axial displacement effects. By using a structure with piezoelectric actuators and sensors…
Christopher G. Provatidis
This study examines rectangular cantilever beams, clamped at one end and subjected to a transverse tip load at the other, with aspect ratios L / h = 1 ÷ 5 , a range in which shear deformation and stress field nonuniformities have a pronounced influence on str…
Hiroyuki Furukawa, Yusuke Nakatani
The flow induced by a rotating object in a vessel can be seen in fluid machinery such as centrifugal pumps and water turbines. This research focuses on the flow induced by rotating objects, especially the flow around the disk rotor in the vessel, and visualiz…

In the previous publication “Four-Dimensional Mathematics Creates the Super Universe”, the model of the Universe is the surface volume of the four-dimensional sphere. The surface of the four-dimensional sphere is a good model for our Universe. In the previous…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
