World Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology (WJNST) is a journal dedicated to providing a platform for publication of articles about nuclear science and technology and its applications. All manuscripts must be prepared in English and are subject to a rigorous peer-review process. Generally, accepted papers will ap…

Research on controlled nuclear fusion has been largely concentrated on plasma confinement using toroidal magnetic fields. Toroidal systems are complex. A simpler magnetic confinement system may provide a valuable platform for understanding fusion plasmas. The…

The National Nuclear Research Institute of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission is undertaking steps to convert the Ghana Research Reactor-1 from HEU Core to LEU. The proposed LEU core consists of 12.5% enriched UO 2 fuel elements clad in Zircaloy-4 alloy. This…

The thermal neutron capture gamma radiations for 51 V(n, g ) 52 V reaction have been studied at Dalat Nuclear Research Reactor (DNRR). The gamma two-step cascade transition was measured by event-event coincidence spectrometer. The added-neutron binding energy…

Positron annihilation in TiO 2 rutile crystal is studied by an assumption that a positron binds with valance electrons of a titanium dioxide to form a pseudo TiO 2- positron molecule before it annihilates with these electrons. The orbital modification consist…

Piping installed in nuclear power plants is affected by various types of degradation mechanisms and may be ruptured due to gradual thinning. The degradation mechanisms such as flow-accelerated corrosion (FAC), cavitation, liquid droplet impingement erosion (L…

Prior to the installation of the Cd-liner in one of the large outer irradiation channels of NIRR-1, a Monte Carlo simulation was performed using MCNP5 version 1.4 code. This was done to investigate the effect of installation of Cd-liner in either an inner or…

We have determined a value for the 1 S 0 neutron-neutron scattering length ( a nn ). The scattering length result is presented for the extended-soft-core (ESC04) interaction. The value obtained in the present work is a nn = -18.6249 fm. The method of solution…

The aim of this study is to determine the transfer factor soil-to-plant and to assess the concentration level of natural and artificial radionuclide ( 238 U, 226 Ra, 228 Ra, 232 Th, 40 K and 137 Cs) in samples from Saluga and Ghazal Protectorate area in Aswan…

A number of components installed in the secondary system of nuclear power plants are exposed to aging mechanisms such as FAC (Flow-Accelerated Corrosion), Cavitation, Flashing, and LDIE (Liquid Droplet Impingement Erosion). Those aging mechanisms can lead to…

An enhanced neutron production and an enhanced nuclear destruction due to secondary fragments have been observed in very thick targets irradiated with high energy ions. This enhancement is beyond theoretical calculations and it is an unresolved problem . It i…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
