The specific radioactivity of several building materials used in France, which is considered a direct exposure to radia tion, has been assessed by γ -ray spectrometry. Corrected for coincidence summing and self-absorption effects, the val ues for 226 Ra, 232…

In the safety assessment of a potential site for high-level radioactive wastes (HLW) disposal, the investigation on the geochemical behaviors of key radionuclides with the possibility for releasing from the potential repository is an important aspect. Due to…

Dose rates calculations, in PMMA dosimeters, placed in the vicinity of the Tunisian 60 Co gamma ray irradiator, have been achieved using a pencil like model. The obtained results are in good agreement with recent experimental data. Moreover, in this work we d…

In this paper, data analysis and modeling of gamma ray tomography taken into account spatial resolution and source of errors and the attenuation coefficient measurement in row data from tomography process are presented. The results showed that this method is…

Variance reduction techniques (VRTs) have been tremendously successful when applied to Monte Carlo radiation transport codes for which the computation time constitutes an important and a problematic parameter. In fact, many Monte Carlo calculations absolutely…

When Periodic Chart of elements is consulted to find natural radioisotopes, one firstly finds tritium, followed by 10 Be, 14 C, 50 V and many others. Before Bi, 12 cosmogenic radioisotopes are listed. They are those continuously produced by nuclear reactions…

We consider the time dependent neutron diffusion equation for one energy group in cylinder coordinates, assuming translational symmetry along the cylinder axis. This problem for a specific energy group is solved analytically applying the Hankel transform in t…

Various measures of event-by-event net charge and charge ratio fluctuations in pp and AA collisions at RHIC and LHC energies are studied using the different Monte Carlo generators: URQMD, HIJING and HIJING/ and the results are compared with the predictions fo…

In this electronic article we use the one-dimensional multigroup neutron diffusion equation to reconstruct the neutron flux in a slab reactor from the nuclear parameters of the reactor, boundary and symmetry condition, initial flux and k eff . The diffusion e…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
