American Journal of Operations Research (AJOR) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of high quality, original papers that contribute to the methodology of operational research and to the practice of decision making. AJOR contains the following types of papers: (1)In…

In this paper, we address the problem of dynamic pricing to optimize the revenue coming from the sales of a limited inventory in a finite time-horizon. A priori, the demand is assumed to be unknown. The seller must learn on the fly. We first deal with the sim…

We analyze oxidative activity of DNA due to fluorescence of chromosomes inside cells, using flow cytometry method with nanometer spatial resolution. Statistics of fluorescence is presented in histogram as frequency distributions of flashes in the dependence o…

In the last several years, there has been a marked improvement in the development of new algorithms for solving Linear Goal programming (LGP). This paper presents a survey of current methods for LGP.

In this paper we have considered a non convex optimal control problem and presented the weak, strong and converse duality theorems. The optimality conditions and duality theorems for fractional generalized minimax programming problem are established. With a p…

The application of some MVS operations (each dimension of which corresponds to a capability indicator) in sys tem capability analysis and design , including capability indicator requirement analysis, effectiveness analysis, sensibility analysis, fuzzy analysi…

Monotonic vector space (MVS), as a novel model in which there exist some monotonic mappings, is proposed. MVS model is an abstract of many practical problems (such as image processing, system capability engineering, etc.) and includes many useful important op…

We consider the problem of guillotine cutting a rectangular sheet into rectangular pieces with two heights. A polynomial time algorithm for this problem is constructed.

This paper aimed to present the optimization of energy resource management in a car factory by the adaptive current search (ACS)—one of the most efficient metaheuristic optimization search techniques. Assembly lines of a specific car factory considered as a c…

In the present paper, a total optimal cost of an inventory model with exponential declining demand and constant deterioration is considered. The time-varying holding cost is a linear function of time. Shortages are not allowed. The items (like food grains, fa…

Edge-finding and energetic reasoning are well known filtering rules used in constraint based disjunctive and cumulative scheduling during the propagation of the resource constraint. In practice, however, edge-finding is most used (because it has a low running…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
