In this note , the ideas employed in [1] to treat the problem of an ellipsoid intersected by a plane are applied to the analogous problem of a hyperboloid being intersected by a plane. The curves of intersection resulting in this case are not only ellipses bu…

This research covers the Intel ? Direct Sparse Solver for Clusters, the sof tware that implements a direct method for solving the Ax = b equation with sparse symmetric matrix A on a cluster. This met hod, researched by Intel, is based on Cholesky decompositio…

In this paper, first , we introduce the notion of weakly compatible maps for coupled map s and t hen prove a coupled fixed point theorem under more general t -norm( H -type norm) in Menger spaces. We support our theorem by providing a suit able example. At th…

The current paper is mainly devoted for solving centrosymmetric linear systems of equations. Formulae for the determinants of tridiagonal centrosymmetric matrices are obtained explicitly. Two efficient computational algorithms are established for solving gene…

In this study, we investigate the form of the solutions of the following rational difference equation systems , , such that their solutions are associated with Padovan numbers.

In [1] and some following publications , Tadmor and Gelb took up a well known property of conjugate Fourier series in 1-d, namely the property to detect jump discontinuities in given spectral data. In fact, this property of conjugate series is known for quite…

In the paper [1] , authors ha ve suggested and analyzed a predictor-corrector Halley method for solving nonlinear equa tions. In this paper, we modified this method by using the finite difference scheme, which ha d a quantic convergence. We have compared this…

When every element of a random vector X =( X 1 , X 2 , ... , X n ) assumes the cumulative distribution function F 0 and F 1 with probability p and 1 - p , respectively, we have shown that the probability S 0 that the first order statistic of X is originally u…

Laser vision correction is a rapidly growing field for correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness as well as astigmatism with dominating laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) procedures. While the technique works well for correcting spherocylindrical…
