Childhood related diseases such as measles are characterised by short periodic outbreaks lasting about 2 weeks. This means therefore that the timescale at which such diseases operate is much shorter than the time scale of the human population dynamics. We ana…

Attention direction for active vision systems has been of substantial interest in the image processing and computer vision communities for video surveillance. Biological vision systems have been shown to possess a hierarchical structure where a pre-attentive…

We describe parallel implementation of the metaheuristic approach to the problem of comparing strings representing DNA sequence. By this approach, one can define a whole new class of metrics on a set of strings; some of this metrics can lead to interesting re…

Watson Crick automata are finite automata working on double strands. Extensive research work has already been done on non deterministic Watson Crick automata and on deterministic Watson Crick automata. Parallel Communicating Watson Crick automata systems have…

In this study, a new high-precision numerical simulation scheme for vortical flows (vortex-based scheme) is proposed. This scheme identifies a vortical flow in each computational cell, and then, reconstructs a vortical velocity distribution based on the Burge…

In this paper a generalized tanh-function type method is proposed by using the idea of the transformed rational function method. We show that the ( G' / G ) -expansion method is a special case of the generalized tanh-function type method, so the ( G'/G ) -exp…

The article presents an approach to the maximum flow problem in parametric networks with linear capacity functions of a single parameter, based on the concept of shortest conditional augmenting directed path. In order to avoid working with piecewise linear fu…

This paper presents a brief demonstration of Scholz’s third conjecture [1] for n numbers such that their minimum chain addition is star type [2]. The demonstration is based on the proposal of an algorithm that takes as input the star-adding chain of a number…

We continue studying systems whose state depends on time and whose resources are renewably based on functional operators with shift. In previous articles, we considered the term which described results of reproductive processes as a linear expression or as a…

Whether people tend to punish criminals in a socially-optimal manner (i.e., hyperbolic punishment) or not is unknown. By adopting mathematical models of probabilistic punishment behavior (i.e., exponential, hyperbolic, and q -exponential probability discounti…

The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
