The classical Gauss-Jordan method for matrix inversion involves augmenting the matrix with a unit matrix and requires a workspace twice as large as the original matrix as well as computational operations to be performed on both the original and the unit matri…

In this study, we develop an expression for a saturated mosquito feeding rate in an SIS malaria model to determine its effect on infection and transmission dynamics of malaria in the highlands of Western Kenya. The basic reproduction number is established as…

In this work, we analyzed the impact of interventions on populations which exhibit unimodal dynamics. The six landmarks that characterize the “ shape ” of the unimodal reproduction curve f ( x ) of the difference equation, X n+1 = f ( X n ) , are defined and…

In this paper the transmission of leptospirosis, an infectious disease caused by bacteria, is studied. Leptospirosis is currently spreading in Thailand and worldwide. A Susceptible-Infected-Removed sir model is used to study the stability analysis, analytical…

The effect of fragmented host distributions on the transmission dynamics of directly-transmitted pathogens was explored via stochastic automata simulation. Sixteen diverse population distributions varying in shape and density were used as a substrate for simu…

In this paper, a delayed SIR model with exponential demographic structure and the saturated incidence rate is formulated. The stability of the equilibria is analyzed with delay: the endemic equilibrium is locally stable without delay; and the endemic equilibr…

We develop a long-term dynamic model for controlling invasive species using the theory of cooperative games. The model is applied to control of invasive buffelgrass in the Arizona desert, which directly competes with indigenous species and can increase wildfi…

This article proves the existence of a hyper-precise global numerical meta-architecture unifying, structuring, binding and controlling the billion triplet codons constituting the sequence of single-stranded DNA of the entire human genome. Beyond the evolution…

In this paper, a bio-heat transfer model of temperature distribution in human eye is discussed using appropriate boundary conditions for cornea and sclera. Variational finite element method with Crank-Nicolson scheme is used to calculate the transient tempera…

We study a mathematical model of biological neuronal networks composed by any finite number N ≥ 2 of non - necessarily identical cells. The model is a deterministic dynamical system governed by finite-dimensional impulsive differential equations. The statical…

Applied Mathematics (AM) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in applied mathematics. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
