Let h(t) be a smooth function, B t a standard Brownian motion and t h =inf{ t ; B t = h ( t )} the first hitting time. In this paper, new formulations are derived to evaluate the probability density of the first hitting time. If u ( x , t ) denotes the densit…

A hydrodynamic model of thin, laminar, gravity-driven, wavy-film flow over a vertical plate was considered. To make advantage of the cyclic boundary conditions and due to the nature of the wavy flow, a solution based on a Fourier series was implemented. Two r…

The current approach of a system of two bodies that interact through a gravitational force goes beyond the familiar ex positions [1-3] and derives some interesting features and laws that are overlooked. A new expression for the angular momentum of a system in…

The objective of this paper is to find the stationary distribution of a certain class of Markov chains arising in a biological population involved in a specific type of evolutionary conflict, known as Parker ’ s model. In a population of such players, the res…

In this paper we characterize those hemirings for which each k -ideal is idempotent. We also characterize those hemirings for which each fuzzy k -ideal is idempotent. The space of prime k -ideals (fuzzy k -prime k -ideals) is topologized.

We will introduce a new connection between some transformations and some aspects of differential geometry of some curves in Minkowski space. The concept of folding, retractions and contraction on some curves in Minkowski space will be characterized by using s…

In this paper, we discuss least squares symmetrizable solutions of matrix equations ( AX = B , XC = D ) and its optimal approximation solution. With the matrix row stacking, Kronecker product and special relations between two linear subspaces are topological…

Some remarks are made on the use of the Abadie constraint qualification, the Guignard constraint qualifications and the Guignard regularity condition in obtaining weak and strong Kuhn-Tucker type optimality conditions in differentiable vector optimization pro…

In this note a multidimensional Hausdorff truncated operator-valued moment problem, from the point of view of “ stability concept ” of the number of atoms of the obtained atomic, operator-valued representing measure for the terms of a finite, positively defin…

The differential equation by Terzaghi and Fr ? hlich, better known as Terzaghi’s one-dimensional consolidation equation, simulates the visco-elastic behaviour of soils depending on the loads applied as it happens, for example, when foundations are laid and st…
